The name Two Winters in the Valley refers to the time Brian Newman spent in the valley of Kashmir.  Brian has been working as an avalanche forecaster for many resorts worldwide, Snowbasin Utah, Treblecone NZ and Gulmarg, Kashmir.  Brian's dedication to shaping the snow safety program in Kashmir has been remarkable.  While consulting the Indian government on how to run a safe and responsible ski area, Brian has managed to supervise the local ski patrollers and bring their avalanche rescue skills to an international standard.
